A Public-Private Partnership to Foster Quality Healthcare
Through Research

This unique public-private partnership between Healthscope and La Trobe University aims to improve patient safety, outcomes, experience and satisfaction through evidence based practice informed by the latest global research. The partnership aims to foster a culture of research across all of Healthscope’s 43 Australian hospitals, to build capability, capacity and skills in the workforce and to co-partner with consumers to conduct world-leading clinical research that is quickly implemented in clinical settings.

Our Key Activities in this Research Collaborative include:
  1. Conducting, promoting, implementing and championing research among clinicians and the broader Healthscope, La Trobe and partner communities
  2. Providing research education opportunities to clinicians
  3. Encouraging and supporting clinicians to disseminate results of research activities through presentations, social media, conferences and publications
  4. Advising and supporting allied, nursing and medical clinicians interested in undertaking higher education in research
  5. Providing of a central point for research governance, coordination, advocacy and quality at Healthscope.
